The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) put together a project for the first ever Friends Gathering for Racial Justice and Community. The GSA students created abstract paintings that corresponded to various colors of the pride flag. The abstract paintings were of LGBTQ+ folks, who are activists and people of color. Under each of the paintings, there was information about the person and the legacy of their work in the LBGTQ+ community and world at large.
The GSA students also sold stickers and donated the proceeds to an organization called The Link. The Link is an organization that houses young people who were kicked out of their house after having come out to their parents. The Link works with youth and young families to overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice.
