Visiting our school and seeing it in person is really the best way to learn whether or not FSMN would be a good fit for your family, but we are currently distance learning so we aren’t giving in person tours.

Speaking to our admissions director, Shane, is also a great way to get to know our school. He can fill you in on how distance learning is going, talk to you about our program and give you a few resources to help you get to know us better.

Open Houses
Bring the whole family to explore our school, chat with teachers and students, and learn about what makes FSMN a unique school in the Twin Cities.

Join us for our admissions open house on:

There are no more admissions open houses scheduled this year.

We start our tours with two sections of classroom observation. The first observation will be in a classroom at the grade level you are interested in applying to. The second observation will be in a classroom a few grade levels above your desired placement. Our goal is for prospective parents to experience a full cross-section of what they can expect if they choose to send a student to FSMN.

After classroom observation, we will take a formal walkthrough of the building. Families will have a chance to see all grade levels, all specialist areas, our lunch and recess spaces, and possibly connect with staff and faculty. During this walkthrough, prospective parents will learn about the mission of the school and what makes Friends School of Minnesota a unique educational experience in the Twin Cities.

These tours are for adults only. Children are welcome to attend the evening open houses and will visit during a school day as a part of the application process.

Tours are by appointment 9-11a.m. on Monday and Thursday.
