Contribute Your Skills and Talents to FSMN Governance! COT is in the process of pooling potential candidate names for those who would like to contribute their skills and talents for the 2022-2023 academic school year!

FSMN governance consists of parents and community members who volunteer to give FSMN a solid foundation. The School Committee is the overarching “board of directors” with fiduciary responsibility and oversight of the school through policy and mission/vision.

The School Committee is supported by 6 standing committees:

  • Development/Fundraising
  • Finance
  • Equity & Justice
  • Quaker Life
  • Buildings and Grounds
  • Committee on Trustees

The Committee on Trustees (COT) helps recruit community members to serve on all these committees.

If you, or someone you know who is connected to the school, and has a background that you think would be valuable, please fill out the FSMN Governance Committee Nomination Form (nominate yourself too!). COT pulls from this list to recruit new members, based on the specific needs of a committee in a given year.

You can nominate someone at any time, though we prefer getting most names by March 1st to get the committees set before summer break!
