Learning About Community Through Books

As a part of a community study unit, Grade 1 and 2 just read some great books about community.  They touch on protesting, town halls, saying hello in a number of languages, welcoming others, making sure there is room for everyone, attending parades with everyone in your community, and celebrating each other’s cultures. 

Here are some of the books that Shana, Grade 1 and 2 teacher, shared with her class.
