The yearbook club has worked together to decide how they want to design, organize, plan, and collaboratively work on the pages of the yearbook. With thirteen differing opinions and voices, students are challenged to listen to one another and come to a consensus. What is best for this year’s yearbook? What should be on the front cover? What are yearbook traditions that should stay the same? What new ideas can be included in this year’s yearbook? These are all questions they have spent time discussing and problem solving as a group.
Including FSMN students in the process of creating the yearbook is a new experience for both our students and Karen. To see students learning alongside one another, helping each other out with a new program and discovering new skills is inspiring. There is a lot of learning and experimentation as they determine the yearbook design, resize and crop photos, find design elements that compliment each page, and create templates to simplify their work. The yearbook club is using google slides and FSMN’s website design elements to create a cohesive and professional looking 2022-2023 yearbook. They can’t wait to share their work with you this spring!
