Science – A Trip to Fort Snelling

Our 5/6 graders took a trip to Fort Snelling.

At Fort Snelling they found their power spots and used some time to observe and record.

They saw a giant tree and smaller trees that had been chewed on by a beaver. They looked at the flood plain marker post, and Emily took them on a walk to look at sandstone, limestone and other geological features.

When they were leaving a student said, ”I want to come back to my spot this weekend!”

We can learn so much from being outside. Each season provides a rich environment to observe, question, and learn.
