Melanie Spewock, FSM Extracurricular Programs Director
Melanie has worked at FSM since 2007. She has a B.A. in English from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. in theater from Indiana University. Melanie believes education is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Thirty-one of her thirty-five years in education have been spent designing and running summer programs with an arts focus for children of all ages in the Twin Cities. email Melanie
You'll see Kate mostly in morning extended day before she starts her day as a student at Hamline.
Zoe is an education and English double major at Hamline, getting her licensure in grades 5-12. This is her third year at FSM and her first job working with kids. "I’m loving getting to know everyone and I can’t wait for another great year at FSM!"
Jill has been a, FSM teaching assistant since 2014. She studied education and child development as part of her Liberal Arts/English undergraduate degree at Illinois State University and received a Masters in Creative Writing from Hamline University. “It wasn’t until I walked into Friends School of Minnesota that I really believed elementary school could be so beautiful.”
A Hamline undergraduate with a background in theater, Emily joins us for her first year at FSM. Welcome, Emily!
A native of Superior, Wisconsin, Carly is also new to FSM in 2016. She is a registered nurse's aid, and is currently a student at Hamline. Welcome, Carly!
Kaitlin is back for her second year at FSM and her third year at Hamline. She hails from the Brainerd area.
